The Finnish Library Association hosted an online event called Digiopastaminen ja kirjastot EU:ssa (Digital Education and Libraries in the EU) on September 28 2021. Bringing together 55 people including MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen, the participants got to hear about the project and more!

With one of the key speakers of this event being MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen, various topics were discussed. MEP Pietikäinen discussed the need for a digital skills certificate and the role of libraries in digitalisation. The project lead, Virginie Dumont, presented the project and participants also got to hear from Tuomo Mannonen, the Finnish lead, as well as Katja Pettersson, a librarian involved in the project.
